A little closer to home, the Emerson is one of the best rooftops south of the Yarra. Relatively new, the rooftop features full-length day beds, and a comfortable open space allows you to take in Melbourne's best weather. Along with views of South Yarra and the CBD, the venue boasts a world class bar and extensive menu.

What To Wear?

This is a tricky question, and ultimately comes down to the venue and time of year.
High-end bars (the type you find in James Bond movies) will require a refined and polished look. Wear your best suit, open collared shirt and a polished pair of dress shoes.

The majority of bars are a little more relaxed. Try a pair of well-fitting dress jeans and a smart-casual open collared shirt. Style them with a Chelsea boot. Add a sport coat or blazer for a more dignified look.
