With tennis royalty on show, the Australian Open is among the more 'dressy' sporting events that comes to town.
January in Melbourne is always warm; so your most important accessory will be the sunscreen! The dress code is quite broad and will often depend on your tickets. Anything from t-shirts to a shirt & tie can be appropriate.
Most blokes attending will be just fine wearing a Polo shirt or Short sleeve shirt paired with a clean pair of tailored chinos or shorts.
If you've been invited to a corporate suite, you'll need to take it up a level. Tailored chino pant's are still fine, when your add a collared shirt and lightweight blazer. Open collar or tie should both be fine.
