Clothes don’t make the man, but they do help make ‘you the man’. Dressing well not only boosts your confidence, it helps you look and feel better.
No more extremely printed shirts. No more pleated pants, no more white crocodile shoes, no more silly superman t-shirts and for the love of god no more snapback hats!
#1. Want To Dress Better
First things first, you need to want to dress better! You need to want to put in extra effort and go the extra mile with your outfits. Forget what you think you know and research and look at what the latest fashion trend is, then look at celebrities to see what they are wearing to get ideas. Dressing up has become so important in todays world that’s why it’s critical that you dress better.
#2. Incorporate Accessories
We are not suggesting to use all the accessories that Captain Jack Sparrow used in pirates of the Caribbean; but a nice watch accompanied by a bracelet should do the trick. You don't have to spend thousands either. A mens beaded bracelet or leather bracelet will do the trick just fine. You won't believe how many people comment on bracelets and watches.
#3. Being Over Dressed Is Better Than Being Underdressed
If there’s one thing I’ve learnt it’s that you’ll never feel out of place in an area when your dressed better then the rest of the crowd. It’s always a good feeling when you walk into a room, and your instantly recognised as being the best dressed. Yet it’s embarrassing when you walk into a room, and your underdressed. Being overdressed will make you more confident and will always give the illusion to others that you mean business.
#4. Focus on the Basics
Some people are able to carry a $15 t-shirt and make it look boss, it’s just how the garment is worn. Again you won’t need to go out and buy 50 shirts all you need is your clothes to be interchangeable, you need to be able to mix and match things and this is why basics are good because your able to do this. To the average man the clothes they should be looking at should be very mainstream with checkered patterns and lined patterns or even plain. Especially leading into summer its important that you have a plain basic white, black and navy t-shirt that you can wear with shorts or wear open under a shirt.
#5. Build A Solid Foundation
Once you have the basics down pat, you're able to experiment with your outfits. Your basics must be versatile items that match well with most clothing in your wardrobe., these items include plain shirts, dark jeans etc. These pieces are like your Learner plates, while you learn to get the basics right. Once you’ve built a solid wardrobe, you can then start to add more adventures clothes to the collection.
