Just as you're excited to leave the office for Friday drinks. We thought we'd share three amazing rooftop bars, that we'd rather be drinking at.
Loosen your tie and lose the jacket. These bars are the perfect way to wind down after a busy work week.
New York City - Ava Lounge
For the well-dressed, the Ava Lounge is set on the penthouse at the Dream Hotel. Incredible views cross this beautiful city, with the Hudson River and Times Square in sight. The chilled out vibe is perfect after a busy week in the city. This might just be the perfect alternative to the Hamptons.
210 West 55th Street,
New York City
London - Vista at the Trafalgar
In the middle of the tourist hot-spot Trafalgar Square, the Vista bar is a beautifully designed outdoor lounge. Perfect for the sophisticated gentlemen, the views have it all. Spanning from Nelson's column to Big Ben.
2 Spring Gardens,
London, SW1A 2TS
Tokyo - Two Rooms Grill & Bar
A spacious outdoor space with minimalist decor, enjoy a drink and bit to eat on this chilled rooftop. Enjoy the Tokyo skyline whilst you dine on a selection of premium steaks or fish. Best of all, the bar features an extensive 1,800 wine list.
5F AO Building
Melbourne - The Emerson
A little closer to home, the Emerson is one of the best rooftops south of the Yarra. Relatively new, the rooftop features full-length day beds, and a comfortable open space allows you to take in Melbourne's best weather. Along with views of South Yarra and the CBD, the venue boasts a world class bar and extensive menu.
143-145 Commercial Road,
What To Wear?
This is a tricky question, and ultimately comes down to the venue and time of year.
High-end bars (the type you find in James Bond movies) will require a refined and polished look. Wear your best suit, open collared shirt and a polished pair of dress shoes.
The majority of bars are a little more relaxed. Try a pair of well-fitting dress jeans and a smart-casual open collared shirt. Style them with a Chelsea boot. Add a sport coat or blazer for a more dignified look.
